Women and Islam

InfidelI saw a remarkable interview with a woman named Ayaan Hirsi Ali.  She grew up in a traditional Muslim family in Somalia, Saudi Arabia and Kenya.  Her first-hand experiences as a woman in Islamic culture are shocking and reveal an ugly underbelly of the “religion of peace” which seems more consistent with intolerance and control, rather than love and peace.

She has detailed her journey through Islam and her eye-opening awareness of the Qu’oran (Koran)-validated ideas of the radical Islamists.  Ali denounced her Islamic faith after September 11, 2001 and now lives life on eggshells; being viewed as not simply an Infidel, but a traitor of the faith.  Her story is one that is incomprehensible to the western mind, yet one that should be told throughout America.  Ali is a brave woman to reveal the truth behind the terror we all now face.  Her new book, Infidel, is a must-read.

Thank you Ayann for your courage.   God Speed.
