Senate Majority Leader Reid

Apparently Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) is not happy playing third fiddle these days.  He seems to have been demoted to a distant third in visibility in the Democratic ranks, after President Obama and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).

In an attempt at regaining attention, Reid has proposed a new fight…this time with U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts.  According to Politico.com, Reid is complaining that Justice Roberts “misled” the Senate in a pretense to appear to be a moderate.  In other words, Reid has called Justice Roberts a liar!

This startling assertion was voiced at a breakfast discussion with a roundtable of reporters hosted by The Christian Science Monitor where Reid was a guest.  He continued his whine stating that the United States is now “stuck” with Roberts.  Ironically, Reid gives a back-handed nod to Justice Samuel Alito for telling the “truth” about his views, stating, “At least Alito told us who he was.”

As of this posting, no word has been heard from the Chief Justice’s office.  However, given the juvenile tone and accusation by Reid, an appropriate response from Roberts would be a “raspberry.”
