The Sweet Lure of Socialism

Pied PiperIt’s a new millennium, a new century… a new age.  Get on board!  Be progressive! Just DO something!  Make a difference!  Be the change!

These are the sounds from a new pied piper and, like the tale by the Brothers Grimm, the children, or those that think like children, all want to follow.

For every social revolution, the cause has always been couched in the name of All that is Good.  The causes are humanitarian, environmental, educational, and even economical.  The messages sound good; they sound righteous.  Who wouldn’t want to help the poor?  Or save the environment?  Or create better schools?  Or share the wealth?  Hmmmm.

Caveat Emptor! (Let the buyer beware!) Behind these enthralling ideas is a well designed plan to lure the masses into the trap of Socialism.  And…it begins with our children.

Perhaps, the concept of a Socialist revolution is best defined by the following quotes:

“All great movements are popular movements. They are the volcanic eruptions of human passions and emotions, stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people.”

“It is not truth that matters, but victory.”

” How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don’t think.”

“He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future. “

These words were spoken by the master of community organization…Adolf Hitler.

Hitler knew that the key to gaining a solid foundation for his revolution was to gain the trust and loyalty of the youth.  Likewise, we have seen an enormous push by the Obama camp to engage young people.  From rallies to protests to causes, Obama has become the pied piper for the American youth.  Teens and young adults (and even some older adults) want to believe in the possibility of a Utopian society.

Fresh from schools and colleges, they are armed with “new” ideas to make the world a better place.  Their energy is infectious and many Americans join in the euphoria of their causes.

However, their zeal and faith is misplaced.  They have no understanding of the real world.  Three generations of America’s children have lived in relative peace and prosperity.  Safeguarded from the world’s atrocities, we, America’s children, have been coddled to the point where “political correctness” has pre-empted common sense.

Additionally, we have not paid attention to the task of educating the next generation.  Today’s schools are not teaching our children to actually “think” for themselves.  Instead, they are being infused with a litany of socialist propaganda disguised as tolerance, acceptance and altruism.  (Take a moment to look at a modern text book – it will astonish you.)

“All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.”  Adolf Hitler

America’s children lack a basic classical education which would have provided a truer representation of the ways of the world and the base nature of man. The error of undervaluing the importance of pertinent education has come back to bite us, as we must now deal with the consequences of an uninformed, under-educated young electorate.

Next week, President Obama will make an unprecedented speech.  Unprecedented, not in its content or message, but in its target audience…our children.  Children in schools across the nation will tune-in or logon to hear the President speak directly to them.  His speech is to be inspiring and empowering.  The White House press release says that the President plans to challenge the students to study hard and strive to make a difference– to “be the change.”

To underscore the importance of his call to action, a new public service announcement (PSA) has been created, featuring Hollywood idols and rock stars, that asks the viewer to make a pledge to do something to change the world.  This PSA has already been aired in many schools throughout the country.

Big deal, you say.  Well, yes…BIG deal.  Taken as an isolated event, the President’s address is benign.  However, it is Socialism 101-the first step in building a rapport with our children.  His position as President automatically ensues authority and trust.  By creating a feeling of inclusion – which is so very important to kids, Obama is also building loyalty.

Think that this will not affect your child?  Then, consider these points:

  • Does your child remind you to “click it or ticket”?
  • Are you instructed to “Put on your seat belt, Mommy?”
  • Have you been scolded by your own child for not washing your hands long enough?
  • Does your teen make statements such as, “Do you recycle?  We need to save the environment” or “The President just wants everybody to have insurance”?

These simple safety campaigns have proven very effective because they were mobilized through our children.   Our kids are sponges and absorb all sorts of information, good and bad.  We must become more aware of what information and education our kids receive.

The stage has been set.  Obama and company are, indeed, planning to “change” our country.  They are very forthcoming in acknowledging their plans; it is us that refuse to see the truth in action.  And that is…Why It Matters.
