Not Gun Control – People Control

It’s funny to look back in time and determine where people stood on issues 20, 50 or 200 years ago and then compare the modern day stances on the same issues.  Societal changes, shifting demographics and changes in technology and the ramifications of these changes rippling through society as a whole, sometimes leave me surprised and confused.

Let’s talk about the latest battleground forming in our nation today; The Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Until just a few short years ago, guns in society were rarely considered.  It was just assumed that most people had guns and knew how to use them.  I grew up with guns in our home.  It was no big deal.  My father taught my brother and me how to properly use a gun, care for it, and ABOVE ALL, respect it.  I personally took a 12 gauge shotgun to school for use in a school play and actually shot it (with the metal shot removed from the shells of course) during the play!  Guess what?  No one was surprised and no one even checked my shells to verify they were empty.  In that era, even adults placed faith in 17 year olds that they were being responsible with weapons.

Until 40 or 50 years ago, guns were a primary means in putting food on tables in a majority of homes in America.  Guns were tools that were used responsibly, for the most part.  Once again, they were no big deal.

Now, it seems, guns ARE a big deal.  Why?  Because some crackpot idiot decided to STEAL guns and massacre 20 children and 8 adults in the most recent act of craziness.  It’s not JUST Newtown, CT.  Its Columbine, Jonesboro, Aurora, etc., as well as Tyrifjorden Buskerud, Norway, Baku, Azerbaijan and Dunblane, Scotland.  If you think crazy is limited to America, then you are nuts as well.

You might think that this is the reason that gun control is all you hear about on the news these days.  Well, it’s not.  I have news for you.  These “crazies” would have killed people with a knife, ball bat or a damn rock if that is what they could get their hand on.  The reason that our Federal Government is so up in arms over guns is simple….control…

I hear people say that we need to ban “military STYLE assault rifles”. Why?  Because they LOOK like an automatic weapon.  Guess what?  They are NOT automatic weapons.  Honestly, you can do as much damage with your Dad’s 30.06 deer rifle as you can with a Bushmaster XM 15 rifle.  It might take you an extra 3-4 seconds to change out the clips since they hold only 5 rounds, but I can carry 20 to 30 full clips with no problem whatsoever.  All this talk about limiting clips to 10 rounds or less is no more than political scare tactics.

It’s about time that our elected officials start talking about the REAL meaning of the 2^nd Amendment and quit all the beating around the bush.  They act like stating a fact is treason.  The simple truth is that the 2^nd Amendment authorizes We The People to protect ourselves and our country from a tyrannical government…end of story.  It does not mention or even allude to hunting or self-defense from other citizens.  You see, our Founding Fathers were not worried about hunting….that was a daily chore.  They were not worried about self-defense from other citizens…they all had guns and most of them were responsible and trustworthy citizens.  Our Founding Fathers were fighting a war of independence from a TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT!  The BRITISH!  GET IT PEOPLE??????  These men, in their infinite wisdom, saw fit to delineate a physical object (the ONLY physical object listed in our Bill of Rights) as the ONE tangible object REQUIRED to overthrow a tyrannical government!  ARMS……

Now, if you consider the 2^nd Amendment in this light, what makes you think that our Founding Fathers would even consider allowing the People to be armed with weapons that do not even come close to matching the weaponry that the government possesses?  They would not.  That would be like saying, “Well, the British have flintlock rifles, so we need to fight our battles against them with the bow and arrow”!  Now, exactly how much sense does that make?  None whatsoever!  That would be a totally stupid statement to make, and even an idiot should realize it.

Our Federal Government has NO right under the Constitution to limit the people’s access to weapons and has even less of a mandate to know WHO possess these arms!

It is impossible to overthrow a tyrannical government with sub-standard weapons.  It is also foolish of the People to inform the same government as to who owns weapons that could be used in overthrowing it.

Does this now make sense to everyone?

Alas, probably not…  I understand that Progressives will, for some reason, disagree with even the simplest of arguments.  Just as they cannot usually see that lower tax rates generate MORE taxes in the long run, they will refuse to see that our Founders foresaw that, at some point, the People MAY have to resort to putting its own Federal government back in line.

If, for any reason, you don’t believe the obvious, PLEASE consult an expert.  I can tell you who the experts are that can give you first-hand information regarding banning guns and documented gun ownership…

Ask a Russian…ask a Chinese…ask a North Korean…maybe a German!

In the grand scheme, it should not be a question of WHAT kind of arms I can own.  The answer should be anything I can afford.

I’m finished now….  I have to get back to work to make the next payment on my Tomahawk Missile.

The New America?

My cousin asked the question, “Why do people say that voting Democratic is unChristian.” The following is my answer:

Well, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but here is the real truth of our current situation. Both parties have allowed their extreme elements to take control of the party platforms and they have redefined each. We, lay people, have sat back and allowed this to happen. We had

no specific issue that we wanted moved forward, for instance gay marriage, so we ignore politics until it affects us.

In regard to the current Democratic party, it is NOT the party of our grandparents. This is NOT the Democratic party YOU KNEW. This new Democratic party has a national platform which was adopted at the DNC convention that took out “God” and inserted “progressive” (i.e. socialistic) theory. Don’t just believe me, read it for yourself. I think you will be surprised to find the extent of socialist agenda. Unless we actually look into these things ourselves, we will not know what is there – we cannot allow the media to vet this for us as they are biased. Again, look at the character of the people who are in the Obama Administration and the DNC. All of them have ties to communism, socialism, etc. They don’t hide it!

What the Obama Administration has done to the Catholic church in particular has been terrible. They have put in place regulations and rules which NOW will prohibit Catholic charities to practice their faith in their (non-government funded) hospitals, missions, schools, etc. The Church is faced with performing abortions and funding other government-required aspects of Obamacare or close their doors. That leaves a giant opening for a government entity with no reference to God to come in and take over. It will only be soon that this expands to other Christian based churches and facilities. Don’t be fooled, this is a war on Christianity.

We can no longer sit back and think we have no business in our governance. It is our sacred duty to secure this country from the, excuse the phrase – idiots, who simply do not understand the repercussions of certain actions. What is frightening to me is that our country is seeing a paradigm shift in its demographic where more people are uneducated or undereducated in basic ideals. They have grown up expecting everything to be easy, given to them, they seem to think they “deserve” things. This new generation of voters seem to think the idealized socialism is the answer – welcome to the folly of every college student. Reality comes around and slaps you in the face when you realize that – just because we are all created equal, that means equal in the eyes of God, not equal in our skills, talents, even our physical capabilities. That line also does not mean that life is fair, contrary life is never fair. It is our ability to deal with the chaos and trials that make us who we are as individuals, then as a country.

In regard to the Republicans, they have had such poor leadership that they have no definition. Their hard-line right wing tactics have as of lately given way to a mushy middle-of-the-road that no one is happy with. It is those folks who fall between the parties that are the real core of America – the Libertarians – they are defined by the following: pro-military, pro-health INSURANCE REFORM (not health CARE reform) – this must include tort reform which trial lawyers fight against; they are primarily Judeo-Christian, they believe that marriage is between a man and a woman, however, they can bend to allow civil unions for gay couples; they want the government OUT OF OUR BEDROOMS, LIVING ROOMS AND KITCHENS; they believe in freedom OF religion NOT FROM religion; they believe in helping themselves, yet also helping their neighbors who are in trouble; they would not choose an abortion for themselves, however they believe that the government has NO RIGHT to tell a woman what she can and cannot do in this regard – most of the folks I’ve interviewed say they think it is between a woman, her clergy, her family, her doctor. They believe that “the pursuit of happiness” should not be limited. As adults they believe that marijuana should be legalized, possibly everything else, in order to put RESPONSIBILITY ONTO THE INDIVIDUAL FOR HIS/HER ACTIONS. If we must legislate the behaviour modifications of our citizens, we are NOT GROWING strong citizens who can learn to make good choices.

I realize this sounds very terse, however, as the bible says, the poor will always be with us and it is our duty to help them to help themselves. However, I take that to be a metaphor for others, too: i.e. idiots. In the natural world, survival of the fittest takes care of the quality of its inhabitants.

So, after my long epistle…in today’s political landscape a vote for Democrats is, unfortunately, a vote for a non-Christian agenda. Once elected, even a stand up guy is forced to play ball with the powers that be in order to be effective for his state in any way. In essence, they must ALL make a deal with the devil or they get NO funds, contracts, industry, etc. for their states. Politics is dirty, unfair, Machiavellian…it is survival of the fittest

Obama and Clinton in Denial or Collusion

Obama’s indifference to Islamists attacks on US installations around the world is sickening.  While families, friends and colleagues mourn the loss of those killed in these hateful attacks, The White House seems to be running on auto-pilot.

I am outraged!  Americans serving overseas in various embassies, consulates, etc. are being targeted, attacked and murdered by Islamist terrorists.

Reuters reported on Saturday, 15 September 2011 at 4:47 PM that the Sudanese government has now REFUSED to allow a platoon of U.S. Marines to enter the country to protect our ambassadorial interests and citizens.  The Associated Press reported that 4 U.S. troops were killed in a THIRD insider attack on NATO / American forces in Afghanistan over the weekend.   This is in addition to the attacks on our embassies in Egypt, Libya and Yemen which resulted in the death of our Ambassador to Libya and 3 key security personnel. 

The White House website has no mention of these new attacks.

Mobs in Kuwait, Sept 15, 2012

Meanwhile, violent protests by Islamists have erupted at other US consulates and embassies in Tunisia, Morocco, Bangladesh, Germany and Kuwait.  Kuwait of all places! According to the AP report, Kuwaitis surrounded our embassy shouting, “Allah Akbar” and “USA Stop The Bullshit!” after we saved that country from the tyranny of Sadam Hussein and his army’s raping and pillaging of their entire little piece of Middle East turf.

The White House website has no mention of these attacks either.

Both The White House and the State Department do have statements explaining their evacuation of our Middle East embassies, etc. and have posted warnings for Americans in the region.  Gee, thanks! At least that’s more warning than they gave the poor ambassador and his entourage after being alerted to credible threats and a possible attack on the consulate on September 11^th.

What more has to happen before we publicly admit that we are in a war with Islam? 

How many more Americans, British and other NATO personnel must die before Americans realize that NOTHING we do in terms of “good faith” efforts, humanitarian aid, and especially FINANCIAL AID will ever change the Muslim view of the West? 

As the President of these United States and as the Commander-in-Chief of our armed forces, Obama should have made a prime-time Presidential address to the nation and the world regarding his outrage at these acts of war.  But… he didn’t.  He met the airplane bringing home the bodies of the slain and made a speech saying…

And More Deceit from the DNC…

For Catholics, it is no secret that the Pope and our United States Council of Bishops have vehemently opposed several acts of the Obama administration that openly attack our First Amendment Right of Freedom of Religion.  Included in these attacks are mandates that are contrary to the basic beliefs of, not only Catholics, but many Christian and Jewish religions.  Many protestant churches and Jewish synagogues have joined Catholics in their fight to maintain their outreach programs to the poor, sick and orphaned which have been threatened to be closed if the programs, hospitals, etc. do not adhere to the various mandates attached to Obamacare.

In an effort to dispel the backlash from the religious voters, the Democratic National Committee orchestrated a counter-measure to establish a conflicting opinion which was perpetrated as fact in order to deceive the public.  See article below from the National Association of American Lay Catholics:

Catholic Nun Bears False Witness Against Catholic Bishops at Democratic National Convention

Sister Simone Campbell of NETWORK (A national social justice lobby) and “Nuns on the Bus” fame spoke at the Democratic National Convention on September 5, 2012 in Charlotte, North Carolina.  In an effort to deceive Catholic voters, Sister Campbell opened her speech with the lie, that the Catholic Bishops stated the Ryan budget failed a basic moral test.

She falsely said:

“Paul Ryan claims his budget reflects the principles of our shared Catholic faith. But the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops stated that the Ryan budget failed a basic moral test, because it would harm families living in poverty.”

The problem is that the Catholic Bishops (Bishops’ Conference or United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB)) never stated this.

Pope Benedict Urges American Catholics to Stand Up for Religious Rights

In a rare letter sent from Pope Benedict XVI to the American Catholic Bishops, his Holiness calls for American Catholics to wake up and recognize the threats to our religious freedoms which are being whittled away by the Obama Administration.  Below is an excerpt from the address:

“… it is imperative that the entire Catholic community in the United States come to realize the grave threats to the Church’s public moral witness presented by a radical secularism which finds increasing expression in the political and cultural spheres. The seriousness of these threats needs to be clearly appreciated at every level of ecclesial life. Of particular concern are certain attempts being made to limit that most cherished of American freedoms, the freedom of religion. Many of you have pointed out that concerted efforts have been made to deny the right of conscientious objection on the part of Catholic individuals and institutions with regard to cooperation in intrinsically evil practices. Others have spoken to me of a worrying tendency to reduce religious freedom to mere freedom of worship without guarantees of respect for freedom of conscience.”

“Here once more we see the need for an engaged, articulate and well-formed CATHOLIC LAITY endowed with a strong critical sense vis-à-vis the dominant culture and with the courage to counter a reductive secularism which would delegitimize the Church’s participation in public debate about the issues which are determining the FUTURE OF AMERICAN SOCIETY.”

DNC SNAFU? or Insult?

If you watched the Democratic National Convention last week, you may have thought that the attempt at honoring America’s veterans was an appropriate patriotic moment.  It SHOULD have been.  However, the DNC planners either did sloppy preparation or flagrantly insulted the United States Military by showing pictures of Russian naval vessels during a speech by retired Admiral John Nathman, a former commander of the US Navy’s Fleet Forces Command.

If this snafu was a mistake, it is inexcusable!  When you are preparing for the convention where a political candidate will be accepting the nomination for the highest office in this nation, YOU DO NOT MAKE MISTAKES!  You check, and double-check every item, every picture, every microphone, every little detail.

Today’s Democrats have shown America their true colors during their 2012 convention.  Whether or not you want to admit it, the “old” Democratic party is GONE.  What we have now is not only Socialist driven, but it is blatantly un-American.

The Navy Times reporter Sam Fellman issued the following article describing the event:

On the last night of the Democratic National Convention, a retired Navy four-star took the stage to pay tribute to veterans. Behind him, on a giant screen, the image of four hulking warships reinforced his patriotic message.

But there was a big mistake in the stirring backdrop: those are Russian warships.

While retired Adm. John Nathman, a former commander of Fleet Forces Command, honored vets as America’s best, the ships from the Russian Federation Navy were arrayed like sentinels on the big screen above.

These were the very Soviet-era combatants that Nathman and Cold Warriors like him had once squared off against.

“The ships are definitely Russian,” said noted naval author Norman Polmar after reviewing hi-resolution photos from the event. “There’s no question of that in my mind.”

Naval experts concluded the background was a photo composite of Russian ships that were overflown by what appear to be U.S. trainer jets. It remains unclear how or why the Democratic Party used what’s believed to be images of the Russian Black Sea Fleet at their convention.

A spokesman for the Democratic National Convention Committee was not able to immediately comment Tuesday, saying he had to track down personnel to find out what had happened.

The veteran who spotted the error and notified Navy Times said he was immediately taken aback.

“I was kind of in shock,” said Rob Barker, 38, a former electronics warfare technician who left the Navy in 2006. Having learned to visually identify foreign ships by their radars, Barker recognized the closest ship as the Kara-class cruiser Kerch.

“An immediate apology [from the committee] would be very nice,” Barker said. “Maybe acknowledge the fact that yes, they screwed up.”

The background — featured in the carefully choreographed hour leading up to the president’s Sept. 6 speech accepting the Democratic Party’s nomination — showed four ships with radar designs not used in the U.S. fleet.

For example, the ship in the foreground, on the far right, has a square radar antenna at the top of its masthead. That is the MR-700 Podberezovik 3-D early warning radar, commonly identified as “Flat Screen” for its appearance, a three-dimensional early warning radar mounted on the Kerch, said Eric Wertheim, editor of “Combat Fleets of the World.”

Similarly, the third ship has a MR-310 “Head Net” air search radar, shaped like two off-set bananas, at its masthead and is mostly likely the guided missile destroyer Smetlivyy. The first two ships seem to be Krivak-class frigates, but it’s hard to discern from the silhouette, experts said.

But the fact they are Russian ships is not in doubt. In addition to the ship’s radar arrays and hulls, which are dissimilar from U.S. warships, the photo features one more give-away: a large white flag with a blue ‘X’ at the ships’ sterns.

Polmar, who authored “The Naval Institute Guide to the Soviet Navy,” recognized the blue ‘X’-mark: “The X is the Cross of St. Andrew’s, which is a Russian Navy symbol,” Polmar said. (An anchored U.S. warship, by contrast, flies the American flag on its stern.)

Based on this specific group of these ship types, one naval expert concluded that this was most likely a photo of the Black Sea Fleet.

“Ships are all Black Sea Fleet,” A. D. Baker III, a retired Office of Naval Intelligence analyst, told Navy Times after looking at the image. “These four ships, at the time the photo was taken, constituted the entire major surface combatant component of the Black Sea Fleet,” Baker said, noting the photo was likely to be six years old or older. (The Kerch is now on the list to be scrapped, Baker said.)

Barker, the former sailor who first spotted the errors, believes the seven aircraft streaking by are F-5 jets, a trainer used by the U.S. Navy. Asked to explain how he reached that conclusion, the former airplane spotter ticked off a list: “Twin engine, single rudder, with hard points on the wingtips, with that silhouette is going to make them F-5s.”

Democratic Delegates Split

This week, the DNC was forced to revisit the 2012 version of their political platform.  Behind closed doors, language that had been included in the party’s platform for years was purposely omitted.  The language in contest was not merely semantics, but basic tenets that Democratic voters have always espoused:  “God” and “Jerusalem as the Capitol of Israel.”

As delegates learned of the changes made to their message to America, many were irate that no consideration was made to ask the delegates what THEY wanted.  (Frankly, this back-room tactic has been the modus operandi of the Obama Administration and the Socialist-minded liberals who now have control of the Democrat Party.)  So, the DNC had to publicly amend the already-published platform.

When the vote came to the floor, the delegates were surprised to discover just how vehement their neighbors felt about God.  The old-time Democrats, the Dixie-crats, voted to include; the Progressive Dems, the ultra-liberals voted to omit.  Wouldn’t you love to be a fly on the wall now?

“2016” – A Must-See Film!

My husband and I watched the movie “2016” last night. Whether you are pro or anti Obama, everyone should take time to see this movie-It is truly riveting!

It was a very informative documentary on Barak Obama, much of which is based on his autobiography, “Dreams From My Father”. It took a look at his life, influences, environment, etc. from an academic perspective. 

The movie’s writer is a first-Generation immigrant from India, D’nesh D’Sousa. His perspective of America was a fascinating contrast to most native-born Americans, which provided a more accurate view of our country than anything I have read in recent years.

It will leave the viewer with a clear understanding of Obama and his vision for America and the world.

DEMS: GOD is Gone!!

BREAKING NEWS – The 2012 Democratic National Convention has deleted the word “God” from their entire platform.  The Platform for each political party is the game plan that their candidates have endorsed and includes policy and potential legislation goals.  A convention meeting entitled, The Faith Council, met on Monday, September 3.  While its moniker may include the word “faith,” the meeting focused on using faith-based organizations as Obama campaign outreach centers, rather than defining and building a platform on how the party addresses Democratic voters who are God-fearing.

Additionally, the DNC has craftily undermined Israel by refusing to acknowledge Jerusalem as the Jewish state Capitol.  Instead their spokesperson describes Jerusalem as and “issue” that needs to be dealt with in a two-state solution with the Palestinians.  American Jews should pay special attention to what is said, and more so, to what is NOT said during the DNC 2012.  The Obama Administration has made no secret that they support the Palestinian policies and have turned its back on Israel time and again.

ABC/Yahoo Reveal Their True Racism

I have had it with the racial comments made by the mainstream media, the NEW Democrat party, and Liberal Leftist!

Rather than analyze the policies of each party or those of each candidate, it appears that making below-the-belt comments are the only thing these folks can do.  “Playing the race card” is ridiculous in today’s America where we have a President that is of mixed-race.

It makes one wonder if they have any comprehension of the conversation that the nation, the people, the voters, are having?  Americans are not slinging mud; Americans are looking for jobs, trying to meet payrolls, worrying about their finances and their futures.

“During an ABC/Yahoo News livestream of the RNC convention a man can be heard saying that Romneys are “not concerned at all” about hurricane victims and that they’re “happy to have a party with black people drowning”. The outrageous comments, which were first reported by NewsBusters, appear to have not been intended for air but were instead caught by a hot mic.”

Despicable!!

• These comments are racist in the worst way; they are cloaked racism.

• If I was a Democrat, I would be horrified at the debasing of the party by the Progressive/Liberal/Racists who are now defining that party.

• If I was African-American, I would be furious that the Democratic Party’s powers-that-be continue to exploit Blacks for political gain while doing nothing to help the socioeconomic status of Blacks.

In reality, the policies, entitlement programs and “help” that the Obama administration and the Democrat party have enacted have kept minorities in an ever-advancing government enslavement.

Despicable!!
